KARACHI: Sindh government has approved four development schemes worth Rs12.98 billion including Lyari Expressway Resettlement Project.
The Sindh Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) has approved four schemes worth Rs12.98 billion, sources informed Digital News Cluster Thursday.
These schemes were approved in the meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2019-20, presided by Chairperson for Planning & Development Board Naheed Shah.
One scheme approved in Health Department for establishment of psychiatry and accident/emergency unit at Sindh Government Hospital Saudabad, Karachi worth Rs518.116 million.
Two schemes approved in local government which include Lyari Expressway Resettlement Project (LERP) worth Rs8.71 billion and rehabilitation and extension of 5 MGD pressure rapid filtration plant (total 10 MGD) at Latifabad No.4, Hyderebad with Rs745.09 million.
One scheme approved in Planning & Development Department, Government of Sindh.
Besides these approvals, one scheme in forest and wildlife is cleared for CDP which includes green Pakistan program revival of forestry and wildlife resources in Pakistan (10 billion tree tsunami program, phase 1 up scaling of GPP) under revision at enhanced cost Rs5.50 billion 50:50 sharing by GOP and GOS.
The chair during the discussions on the schemes asked all the administrative secretaries to ensure timely completion of the schemes with required quality as per approved scope so that benefits could reach to the common man.
